It is important to Connect your WhatsApp account to your Facebook Page and make yourself the admin of your Page. The WhatsApp number should be the same one you have integrated into charles.
Meta is gradually introducing a set of six campaign objectives in Ads Manager: awareness, traffic, engagement, leads, app promotion, and sales. You can create ads that click to WhatsApp with engagement, traffic or sales objectives but there may be restrictions in some geographies. If your goal is Engagement, please click on Create a New Campaign, select Engagement, and click on Continue.
The conversion location should be Messaging apps and the ****Ad type ****has to be set up as Click to message.
Scrolling down to the Messaging Apps section, please deselect Messenger and Instagram and select WhatsApp number from the drop-down menu. Make sure again this is the same phone number you have integrated into charles.
The default option will be Advantage+ placements. Please change it to Manual Placements to avoid potential error messages from Meta.
This is one of the most essential steps. The optimization for ad delivery will be shown as “Conversations” by default. Please change it to Link Clicks to move forward and be able to publish your ad.
