A contacts is synched if their Klaviyo profile is linked to their charles profile. For this to happen, their Klaviyo needs to have the phone number used for WhatsApp on file or their charles profile needs to have the email address used for Klaviyo on file. The synched status is required to see the charles opt-in status in Klaviyo (using it for segmentation).

Here are the steps you can go to find out the current ratio of contacts we can also identify in Klaviyo:

1. Set Up a new Segment in Klaviyo with the rule "Charles opt-in Status is true" Using Klaviyo Lists and Segments in charles
2. Sync this segment to Charles
3. Set Up a new Segment in Charles with all single or double opt-ins
4. Now you can find out how high the ratio of synched contacts is

Example:

• Klaviyo Segment with Charles Opt-In: 1500
• Charles Segment with Single or Double Opt-In: 2500
• Ratio: 60%
• Rest: 1000

Increase number of synched contacts

Collect email addresses in charles via WhatsApp campaign

One starting point to increase this ratio could be to have a raffle or incentivization for getting e-mail addresses. This of course only should be sent to double opt-in contacts. If you are using Single Opt-Ins, you could go the following steps:

• Set Up a new Segment in Charles with the following rules:
  • Opt-In Status is Double Opt-In
  • Contact is not included in the Klaviyo Segment with the rule "Charles opt-in Status is true"
