Configuring the WhatsApp integration

1. Go to Settings → Integrations

2. In the Available apps tab and find WhatsApp. Click Connect and a pop-up will appear:

   

3. Click Continue with Facebook to start the verification process

4. Continue as [your name] → Get started:

1. Follow the setup wizard until you arrive at creating your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) with your existing Facebook Business Account
2. Click on your existing one and make sure your ID number is correct (You can double check it on Facebook via your business portal):

1. Set up your internal WhatsApp Business Account name. This needs to match the Display Name in the next step:

   <aside> 💡 Use the same as the name Facebook recommends (e.g. ZO as below) for easier and faster verification.

   1. After clicking on “Next” (🇩🇪  ”Weiter”) you should (hopefully) see the following screen, confirming that everything went through correctly ✅

   2. Now setup your external WhatsApp Display name. See the WhatsApp guidelines here

      <aside> ⚠️ Be aware: If display name is different from legal name**, tick checkbox** below and paste the Imprint URL in your website (or privacy policy), proving that the legal name and the brand/display name are related.

   3. Choose your company Vertical from dropdown menu. You can skip the “Business Description” (both can be changed in charles later):

   

   1. Enter your WhatsApp phone number (the one linked to charles) and choose verification method (phone call or SMS). In the case below, we picked SMS verification and received an SMS:

   

   1. Enter the 6-digit verification code:

   

   1. Click OK to finish the process:
