To be honest, we have to 🤷 but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to!
WhatsApp announced that moving forward Cloud API will be their sole offering, with the WhatsApp business API being phased out. In fact, since January 2024, WhatsApp has stopped developing new features for the on-premise, Business API.
So this means we have to make the same transition in order to continue offering you the latest features and improvements.
🤩 New features
The Cloud API comes with exciting new features (like new carousel message templates 👀) that we plan on implementing shortly after the migration.
💘 Faster campaign send-outs
The Cloud API is designed to handle a larger volume of messages which means large, bulk campaigns are send out even faster.
🧱 Quicker resolution time of Meta bugs
WhatsApp bugs are resolved much faster, increasing stability and improving the experience for you and your customers.
The Cloud API continues to meet the obligations are General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Source: Meta)
You just sit back and relax while we automatically continue the migration process, so you can continue using charles without any downtime.
